McNaughton has been no stranger to awards himself in his 23 years working in commercial real estate – in 1997 he won the Development of the Year award from the Charlotte Regional Commercial Board of Realtors. He has used this celebrity to make a large positive impact on his community. McNaughton assists a number of charitable efforts through the Luath-sponsored “Service Days” and has helped in the construction of two houses for Habitat for Humanity.
