Catalyst Manufacturing’s story: Catalyst Manufacturing
Services is a privately owned company founded to provide full contract electronic
manufacturing services to original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) from product
development through distribution and aftermarket support. It operates an
85,000-square-foot facility in Morrisville, and a 40,000-square-foot facility
in Endicott, N.Y.
Training vehicles: All Catalyst employees receive training
for multiple job functions and annual refresher training to remain current
with market requirements. The company offers progressive training from entry-level
positions and advanced skills to lateral job preparation, on-the-job training,
and professional growth development. It also has “train the trainer”
programs and offers both in-house consultants and outside training, as well
as a formal recertification program, mandatory OSHA certifications, and
state-funded training through Wake Technical Community College.
